UNLEASHED L.O.T.E. : Do You Have A Heart for GOD's Mission: the World

As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look! There’s some water! Why can’t I be baptized?” 38 He ordered the carriage to stop, and they went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.
39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away. The eunuch never saw him again but went on his way rejoicing. 40 Meanwhile, Philip found himself farther north at the town of Azotus. He preached the Good News there and in every town along the way until he came to Caesarea.  Acts 8:37-40

So here's what we know....Philip didn't aspire to be anything more than what God created/ordained him to be.   He was content with serving tables as a deacon, as well as speaking to crowds about the Gospel, as well as he was very willing to GO wherever GOD's spirit desired him to be.  He was definitely an admirable, powerful, and humble follower of Jesus Christ.    We find him concluding his journey with the Ethiopan Eunuch with baptism.   Notice how it didn't matter the color of skin, the region they were from vs his.....mattered NOTHING to Philip...no barrier beit cultural, political, etc. hindered his ability to keep the MAIN thing the MAIN thing.  Which brings me to this:

Matthew 24:12 says "Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold."  While I know sin is rampant everywhere.....not in a few places or just in congress, or the white house...it's in YO HOUSE (I know....your...get over yourself long enough to see where I'm going) and the most critical part of this passage is that " the love of many will grow cold."  This is distressing, because many could mean a variety of people groups, one of which possibly could be Christians.

For instance, complete this sentence (if you can) I CAN'T STAND_____________________!  Now unless what goes in that blank is SATAN or SIN, everything else may go against the very reason CHRIST was sent, died, and rose again for.   My fear is that MANY of us, our hearts have grown cold toward the very things, the very people that GOD SO LOVED, and sent His Son to die for.   Philip heart wasn't cold at all.......he went wherever God sent him, and his mission didn't change: WITNESSING.......but what about you?  Can you fill that blank with a name, a people group, etc. and justify it....then tell me Jesus came for everybody but..........

My prayer for you.....drop the associations with divisive groups, allow the WORD to create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit in you, and rather take up the blood stained banner....L.O.T.E (Live on the edge), on mission to seek, serve, share (your testimony)and allow CHRIST and His WORD to save those which are lost.   LGLP
